Flash CS3 Preview

Flash C3 can be previewed on the Flash Magazine web site. It looks amazing, from a design standpoint it integrates with Photoshop and Illustrator, even layers are supported! My favorite is the ActionScript editing and error checking, this has been an issue with Flash for many years and may finally be what all flash developers have been looking for. Check it out for yourself...

AjaxWorld Conference Schedule

The official AjaxWorld Conference Schedule has been released today. You can see the lineup of all the speakers and their presentations that will occur over these three exciting days. Don't miss my presentation, Creating a Reusable Ajax Library on Tuesday, March 20 from 3:35-4:25 where you'll learn why I don't believe in the phrase "Reinventing the Wheel". You'll also see how easy it is to start creating your own reusable library by watching me plug together an Ajax engine and Ajax-enabled component. I hope to see you there...

Designing the Obvious

I had the opportunity to see Robert Hoekmans presentation on Designing the Obvious at the Phoenix ColdFusion User Group for the first time last night. I highly recommend seeing it if you get a chance, not because he is my friend, but because the presentation really makes you think about the simple interactions that you create as a web developer or designer on a daily basis. Consciousness in design is what really makes an application stand out and ultimately keeps your users happy.
